How Do I Switch to BrightSide?

I’m ready to switch to BrightSide. What’s the process?

You may have decided to switch to BrightSide, or you may be just thinking about it real hard. But what isn’t real hard is the process for migrating to our software. Let’s take a look and see just how smooth the transition can be. This entire process, from signature to launch, is usually completed in about one month. No kidding!

Step 1

Just call us! If you haven’t spoken with anyone yet, give us a call! You can reach Marc, our sales manager, by calling the sales number at (865) 444-0992. He is happy to talk with you, answer questions, or set up a demo to see if we are a good fit for you. When you decide BrightSide is for you, we’ll move to step two.

Step 2

Sign and Pay: After signing your agreement and paying the setup fee of $1,000.00, the BrightSide onboarding staff gets to work. We install your copy of BrightSide and meet with you for a half hour to go over the onboarding process. This meeting utilizes Google Meet and it gives you an opportunity to ask questions.

Step 3

Training: We set up four online training sessions. These one hour (plus) sessions take place once a week over four weeks. The last one is just before launch. During these meetings, we begin setting up your BrightSide account (with you) and assigning “homework.” We will also begin to show you how the software works.

Step 4

Data Migration: If you have been using another property management software, we can usually import the data for the properties, reservations, guests, owners, and more. We will do this once at the beginning and again just before launch to make sure we have all the latest data. There is a separate fee for this service.

Step 5

Documentation: The onboarding team works to make sure your guest letters and rental agreements are set up. Then we review all your settings to make sure they are correct and ready to go. This includes your rates, seasons, policies, and just about anything we can think of.

Step 6

Integrations: We make sure your integrations are all in place. This includes electronic lock services, cleaning services, credit card processing, and any other integration that you need to get started. If you use Airbnb, Vrbo, and/or other OTAs, we make sure you are connected and syncing.

Step 7

Launch: Wednesdays are best. We work late into the evening on Tuesday, testing, doing a final import, and making sure everything works like it is suppose to work. If you are within driving distance of our office in Maryville, someone will be at your office to ensure everything goes smoothly on launch day.
